Some say that it is an Overkill material
XRD® foam absorbs up to 90% of impact force repeatedly, as measured by ASTM F1614, and it helps to distribute weight effectively across the whole strip in your shoulder straps. With XRD® tech, you will feel more comfortable even when carrying a heavy backpack, without feeling a concentrated pressure point.
XRD® material also maintains at least 90% (in most cases up to 98%) of their original thickness and shape to ensure a consistent fit over the lifecycle. Even if you carry heavy consistently everyday, your shoulder straps would provide long lasting cushioning and comfort to support you.
Custom moulded back panel
#double-sided
We aim to create the evil baby between the a normal daypack and a hiking backpack’s back panel, one that looks good but still promotes a good amount of ventilation. We do so by creating a double-sided mould with openings across the panel. On the surface, there are extruded shapes arranged in a way so that there will be gaps between your back and the back panel. On the underside, there are strips of gaps running vertically across the panel.

HIking backpacks
Looks good but feels hot
Looks bad but feels cool
With the openings across the surfaces, when you carry the backpack and walk, your body would push into the back panel and the motion would force the air behind to escape through the openings across the surface. Fresh air would then be filled into that space through the slits on the side of the back panel and a ventilation cycle is then created.
Stowaway Water Bottle Pocket
Traditional backpacks with elastic bands has two fundamental flaws. Firstly, the permanently sewed-in elastic bands get loose over-time and as they are irreplaceable, they just loose their functions. Secondly, they look bad.
Our new water bottle pocket design corrects these flaws. Firstly, they can be stowed away very easily when you do not plan on bringing a water bottle, so the backpack looks better. (Let’s admit it, whenever the backpack has a water bottle on the outside, it doesn’t look good.)
Secondly, the elastic bands are replaceable and “adjustable” in a way. You can hold smaller items tightly when use both straps to hold them and they can hold larger items with only one strap around. (Please reference the picture below.) And when the elastic bands run loose, you can just replace them very easily.
The “adjustable” straps system allows the water bottle pocket to carry much more than just water bottles, from a hand sanitiser bottle to a baguette, the pocket is better looking and more functional than traditional water bottle pockets.
Some more features!
Padded Handle
Comfortable grip when you hold the backpack by the handle.
Removable Magnetic Sternum Strap
Helps to distribute weight across the upper body when carrying heavy items.
Travel friendly
With the luggage strap, AirTag holder and hidden pocket, it is also a great travel companion.
With all the heavy items being placed close to the user’s back, the balanced weight would provide better comfort during carry.
Proper weight distribution
Our Fabric
We believe that even as a small entity, we all play an important role in the topic of sustainability. However, “sustainability” should not come at the expense of the customer by using seemingly green but fragile and short-lived material. This is because even though the fragile material may be more decomposable, the manufacturing, transporting and retailing process all use our precious energy. Therefore, in the long run, having a very durable product that caters to a lot of circumstances is better than having a fragile product that users will need to keep replacing once in a while.
Our product design itself is complying with this concept by creating a multi-functional product that caters to the users’ many needs. However, we want to do more than that and that is why we have sourced what we believe to be one of the best material in the market that fits both buckets, durable and sustainability.
CORDURA fabric is famous for its durability in many industries, from clothing to bags and shoes, their reputation of being enduring and tough is well accepted by the world for nearly a century. What we chose to use in our products is their 420D CORDURA re/cor™ fabric, which recycles post-industrial waste and transform them into nylon-6 yarn that still fulfil all the CORDURA standards.
Of course we have water resistant coating on the fabric to go with the YKK AquaGuard zippers on the backpacks. We even added antibacterial additives to the main fabric and the lining fabric (which is also 100% recycled nylon) so that you do not need to worry about the bacteria situation when you slip your Slingah inside the Daypackah as both the exterior and interior fabric has antibacterial properties.
